Playing tourist…
Last week Mom and I decided to visit the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center here in Albuquerque. We had lunch in the Pueblo Harvest Cafe which has a fantastic view of the Sandia Mountains. I ordered the chicken quasadilla…very yummy!! We then paid admission to the museum ($4 for New Mexico residents!).

Dancers from the Nambe tribe performed in the courtyard. I am not sure how they could stand the heat, but it was fantastic to watch.

After the performance we explored the museum. There was wonderful pottery, artwork, historical artifacts, and a nice gift shop. We had a great time!! (Plus the air conditioning was heavenly!!!!) If you are ever in the Albuquerque area it is worth a visit.
