Faerie riders on noble steeds gallop in wild pursuit.
Answering the call of the clarion trumpets, the hounds have caught the scent.
Two courts divided by Light & Dark, united by The Huntsman’s Bow.
Riding through the Tangled Wood, chasing a Solstice Moon.
Fading into shadowed moor with unsuspecting Quarry.
The Wild Hunt is a foot!

A few notes…
~I’m unable to reserve any of the items in this series before they go live.  So be ready to purchase at the starting bell!
~I accept direct payment through etsy with any major credit card or PayPal.
~I ship internationally.  It’s $10 via USPS international first class.  Domestic shipping is $5.
~I will ship to the address on file with Etsy, so please make sure this is accurate.
~The pendulums in this series are very rare, so if you see something you like…Grab It!!!  I might not be able to make another just like it.
~All items purchased ship within 3 days.  {I’ll need time to smudge and package these up all pretty.}
~Etsy does NOT have sticky carts.  What does this mean?  If you put an item in your cart and don’t immediately check out, some one else can still buy it out from under you.  I know that stinks and I wish Etsy would update that. 🙁  So check out right away to make sure you get the pendulum you want.

I enjoyed working with the faeries to create this series, they bring their own special magic to my creations.  Thanks for all the likes and shares so far, I really appreciate all the interest in my creations!

Albuquerque Pagan Pride Day 2013

Once again I had the honor of attending the Albuquerque Pagan Pride Day Celebration which was held on September 29.  I always share a booth with my Mom, Sharon of Touch of the Goddess.  This year’s theme was Harvest Fae and the organizers encourage vendors to dress in costume and decorate their booths.  We decided this year to completely change the look of our booth and I’m so glad that we did.  We started shopping and gathering supplies in May!  We wanted the booth to look like a faery-gypsy caravan.  I’m so pleased with the way every thing came together.  Take a look!

All set up and ready to go!

I always do a “test run” of my table to make sure that I have everything and also to save time during the day of the event.  So these close up shots were taken a few days before the event.

My table cloth started with purple shimmery fabric from JoAnns followed by a velvet throw with fringe that I had purchased several years ago from Hobby Lobby.  The picture frames, collector’s box, and chalk board I found at hobby lobby as well.  {Thank goodness for sales and coupons!!}

I filled the collector’s box with all the wonderful things I thought a faery would collect during their worldly travels…keys, citrine stones, sea shells, sparkly bits, tobacco {for blessings…this is a pagan event}, feathers, moss, little birds, old photos, and rose quartz.  I found the cute little chalkboard signs at an antique store and the fortune teller card I purchased from A Fanciful Twist.  And of course I couldn’t forget to add my business cards from moo.com.

I just love the cute door knob card holder I made.  I started with a glass door knob from Hobby Lobby and added brass wire and a bit of glitter.  The spools of velvet ribbon and the metal crown came from an antique store.

I upholstered 12×12 picture frames to use as my pendulum displays.  Just remove the glass and add a little batting and fabric.

Now on to my costume!!  I decided that I didn’t want to go as a faery, I wanted to go as a faun.

The oxblood jacket is vintage velvet.  {I plan to wear this jacket all fall…I just love it!}  The scarf I found at World Market and the vest on ebay.  I purchased the faun horns from Voodoo Soap and Beads.  Everything else I had in my closet.  I made my Pendulum Maker badge with resin paper and other ephemera.

{Couldn’t resist adding a photo of me “mugging” my dog, Logan…}

I had such a wonderful time at this event…talking with friends, meeting new people, and sharing a wonderful autumn day with our pagan community.  Can’t wait for next year!

Blessed Litha

Today is the Summer Solstice…the longest day of the year!  Let us celebrate the abundant Earth and Nature in full bloom.

One legend holds that, at twilight on Litha Eve, the door to the Middle Kingdom opens and those who seek it may come and go freely.

The trooping faeries are on the move!  Welcome them into your home and garden by leaving offerings of honey, bread, or milk.  They also love sparkly stones…so set out some labradorite, moonstone, or quartz.  *Be fore warned some faeries like to cause mischief!

Litha is also an excellent time for rites of divination…so get those pendulums out and have fun!!
Brightest Blessings,

Blessed Beltane

The Wheel turns and we are once again back at Beltane.  The flowers are blooming, the bees are buzzing, and warmer days are spread out before us like molten honey.  I love the since of anticipation that comes with this time of year…something wonderful is just around the corner.

One of my favorite things to do is to decorate the trees in my yard with satin ribbons.  I use different colors and lengths, placing them randomly amongst the branches.  I love how the wind makes them dance and sway to the music of nature.

My apple tree all beribboned!

And speaking of music…this song is always in my head during the month of May.  (Yes, my musical theater roots are showing…I love Camelot!)

Don’t forget today is a “Trooping” day as well.  Faeries will be on the move!  If you would like to entice them into your home and garden (be for warned…not all faeries are helpful and nice) set out some cream, honey, or bread as an offering.  Faeries also love shiny stones like labradorite, quartz, and moonstone!

Today is a great day to stop and smell the roses and give thanks to the Earth as she awakens from her long winter nap!
Brightest Blessings,
Jessica
